It talks about a man who is waiting for his loved one to call him. Throughout the song, John Vesely talks about how an anguished man is waiting for his better half to call him.

The lyrics are beautifully put together. The man is in pain, since he is not willing to do the unthinkable to get back his loved one.

To him the reason for him being alive is to say I love you to his beloved. The only problem is that things have taken a turn for the worst. He is lost as to how to get her back. In his mind, he is running after this girl who is not coming back. However, according to the singer, John Vesely, all he wants is her to call him. Maybe they weren't meant for each other. He broke previous promises while they were together.

This last one is his farewell? Maybe to let it go down in flames rather than in anger and hatred. He still loves her but knows it's not meant to be. He's promising to let her go to where she belongs. With someone else? I don't know. This is just my opinion.

General Comment "I promise I will bring you home" home is a place where we can feel comfortable, a place we're familiar with. Home is reference to many things metaphorically in songs. I think he means regardless of what she's done to him, he's going to try to make it better for her.

At the beginning we were like flirting a lot and everybody said that he really likes me. We were dancing together at school dances and I fell in love with him. We were just friends, but I always felt there was something more. I just saw it in his eyes. Than one day I found out he has a girlfriend.

I think everyone interprets this song in a way according to what situation is currently tangled with their lives because it would apply to them. For me, I believe this is a girl waiting. Waiting for him to make up his mind, because they liked each other, but he just got up and ran away from it.

He then comes back and she gives him a second chance, but he disappears again. She's begging him to stop giving her hope so easily, then snatching it away just as quickly. She realises it was probably all pointless but she still longs for the moments they shared together to come back. She clearly still has feelings for him and just wants to know 'Why' he's doing it all.

Too many questions are still unaswered for her. It makes me want to cry. This song is amazing. I understand this song with the realationship I am in now except for I wasnt the one to break all the promises he was and I am saying why do you do this to me why do you do this so easily you make it hard to smile because you make it hard to breath and the buttons on my phone are worn down thin that is true cause I call him all the time.
