I5 2500k which graphics card

Cookies Competitor mentions. Show only OP. CPU is overclocked to 4. Is it otherwise worth looking at replacing the k with an i7 k? Many thanks. I'd Get the to future proof yourself, yeah it will be bottlenecked by the cpu somewhat and no it's not worth getting a k unless its very cheap and I doubt that you'll find one going for under quid. I was on the k until recently so went through the same thing. Best option is to just get the gpu and over time buy a mobo, mem and new cpu. I'd look for a cheap RTX , because that 8GB vram will give the card longer legs into the future, as texture resolutions in games keep getting higher and higher.

Higher the res the more GPU power it uses. Koekieezz said:. Have you tried playing playing a game in Intel system using Windows 3. Dec 8, 1 0 10 0. Your most defiantly going to bottleneck any highend graphics card that is PCIE 3. I have seen people over clock k's to offset the lower bandwidth of PCIE 2. That is why I am waiting till Intel releases their Alder Lake-s cpu's. Last edited: Dec 8, Nov 1, 7, 1, 32, You must log in or register to reply here. Which one is smoother for gaming?

An instruction set refers to the basic set of commands and instructions that a microprocessor understands and can carry out.

Instruction Set Extensions are additional instructions which can increase performance when the same operations are performed on multiple data objects. Idle States C-states are used to save power when the processor is idle. C0 is the operational state, meaning that the CPU is doing useful work. C1 is the first idle state, C2 the second, and so on, where more power saving actions are taken for numerically higher C-states.

Thermal Monitoring Technologies protect the processor package and the system from thermal failure through several thermal management features. An on-die Digital Thermal Sensor DTS detects the core's temperature, and the thermal management features reduce package power consumption and thereby temperature when required in order to remain within normal operating limits. It enables an environment where applications can run within their own space, protected from all other software on the system.

Execute Disable Bit is a hardware-based security feature that can reduce exposure to viruses and malicious-code attacks and prevent harmful software from executing and propagating on the server or network. Intel refers to these processors as tray or OEM processors.
