What is the difference between f10 and f30
When I saw the f30 in pictures I kind of got mad a little because I've just bought my f10 and they look a like, a month later went to the dealership and sat in one and it just felt like the 3 series I had as a loaner. In couple of years you will see f30's all over the place, fully loaded or not they're all gonna look the same. I was really surprised at how cramped it was, and it seemed really cheap looking as others have said. On the same level as my wife's Civic really.
Also, the controls were not layed out well at all. Poor in fact. The handling on the F30 was fun though, very spry and nimble as everyone knows, but I felt really great about getting back into my F Overall the F10 has a far better grasp on the blend of performance versus comfort that I really want for a daily driver.

Interesting that the price difference between a D SE and a D SE is almost exactly 2K and you still have to put leather in yer bringing the price difference to a few hundred quid.
The interior of the F30 is vastly inferior to the F10 but it handles brilliantly although it is fairly noisy compared to the F Far more chuckable than an F10 though but not as relaxing to drive. I wonder whether anyone out there has both cars and what they make of them. Would anyone downsize? I did the same comparison a couple of months ago.
You also need to add the front sensors too and a couple of other items too, meaning the prices are almost the same. Oops, missed that one mate, could you give us a link so that i can read what you've got to say?
I had an F30 d Sport for the day a couple of months ago. I really enjoyed driving it - it handled better than the F10 as you might expect for a smaller car and was a little quicker than my d before the addition of the power kit. It was seriously let down by interior quality and the styling at the front is rather weak in my opinion.
All in all I am amazed that it is the same price, after adding options, as the d. It makes the d look like a bit of a bargain to me. Before ordering my F10 I checked the equivalent F30 through the company lease calculator thinking I might get a better optioned F30, but with every configuration I tried the equivalent F10 always came out either cheaper or within a few pounds. In the end it was a no brainer to go for the F If I was in my 30s and looking for a fun drive I would go for the F30 but having spent 3 years driving an E92 6 cylinder on 19" low profile tyres I now want a comfortable car that can give me that oomph when I need it.
And the F10 d certainly delivers oomph. For me the F10 feels like a grown up version of the F30 and is a far more relaxing drive. I loved my E90 but it doesn't hold a candle to the F10 in terms of interior, ride quality and refinement.
You make a good point about pricing comparisons. I'm guessing that BMW have to keep on their toes in the mid-sized exec market as the E-class and A6 are tough competition in terms of sales both here and world wide whereas the 3 Series is streets ahead of the competition in every way.
If I ever win the lottery, I'd have a loaded D on the driveway next to my MSport, and use the for my back road blasts when i'm sans wife and kids and tootle round in the when I had to behave myself! Drove a friend's F30 d today. Really nice car in many ways, but the interior is not up to the quality of the 5-series IMHO. However, I thought the handling was fantastic - much taughter and direct than the 5.
The 2. I could see myself being very happy with a d though. My dealer let me have a F30 Efficient Dynamics for an hour. Some of the interior trim is pretty naff esp on the doors. The dash and centre console is so so. The handling and ride is a vast improvement on the E The engine is rather coarse but pulls well but there is too much noise around the door mirrors for my taste. Seats were ok and there was far more room in the back and the boot is useable.
Given this car is 26 grand OTR, I think it is a bit of a mixed bag as it certainly a bit of a mixed bag as the interior DOES NOT feel special and you might spend K on options ending up with a very expensive car with a pretty so so interior.
I'd go for the F10 everytime. Weight-Power Output Ratio. Coil springs. Anti-roll bar. Acceleration 0 to m. Fuel Consumption Economy , Emissions and Range. Fuel Consumption - Economy - Combined. Fuel Consumption - Economy - Open road.
